Beavers Fun with Food Day
119 Beavers descended on Scout House and 3rd Dartford all ready to make, bake, taste, learn, be quizzed and try to knot spaghetti (given the state of faces and uniforms they all seemed to enjoy the chocolate bases!!) One or two Beavers had fun handling the fish but did not want to try the weird fruit! Models were made with dry spaghetti and marshmallows – a few of them now have the taste for uncooked spaghetti.
The bases were : Chocolate fountain, Mississippi Mud Pie, making cakes, chocolate mug cake, mini sandwiches, spaghetti models, spaghetti knots, mini pancakes, food quiz, iced biscuits, fish demonstrations and weird fruit salad. Thank you to the leaders and helpers that ran the bases.
I would like to say a big thank you to the leaders that gave me advice and helped guide me through running my first District event – and one last thank you – to Cavan (ADC Beavers) for sorting us all out before going on holiday!
