Beaver Science Day

150 Beavers descended on Oasis Academy on Saturday 7th February all ready to have a go at doing experiments. Some of the experiments included were how to light bunsen burners, making boats with different materials and then seeing if they float, forensic experiments including finger printing, footprints, learning about acids and alkalis, the effects of burning different chemicals, burning bubbles and lots more. The Beavers were enthralled from beginning to end and the majority seemed to like the bunsen burners and anything to do with flames.
Thank you to Pauline from 9th and all the teachers at Oasis Academy for organising this event and making it an enjoyable day (I think even a few leaders had fun doing the experiments).
