There are 13 Groups across Dartford and we are proud to be able to provide adventurous activities and personal development opportunities including teaching them skills that will help them to succeed now and in the future and the chance to meet new friends throughout their Scouting journey.
Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual,
social and spiritual well-being of the individual helping them to achieve their full potential. In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing' when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves. We aim to do this by providing them with excellent opportunities to learn new skills, meet new friends and have an amazing adventure!
We have over 1,000 young people aged between 6 and 25 and are part of a worldwide family consisting of over 28 million members across 216 countries. It doesn't stop with young people! Nothing would happen without the Adult Volunteers that give up their time to create Scouting journeys for the young people.
We are proud of the young people's achievements and seeing their enjoyment when they succeed at activities.
