Further to my email below, please find attached an updated application form and guidance document. Restrictions on applications for capital costs have been removed and all such eligible applications will now be considered by the judging panel – although this does not guarantee that such applications will be successful.

Dear Recreation Groups,
The Dartford Locality Board has been allocated £25,000 to award in grants of between £500 and £5,000 to projects designed to engage young people in local youth groups that wouldn’t ordinarily do so.
Applications can encompass any number of purposes, so don’t be afraid to apply for any idea. We use the word ‘project’ in the widest possible sense and envisage applications ranging from one off purchases to longer term activities - but certain conditions do apply.
The most crucial of these are:
· Projects must target young people aged between 12 and 19.
· The grant is aimed specifically at those youngsters not currently engaged with youth groups/clubs.
· Applications must demonstrate how the grant will be used to engage young people and act as agateway to future and continued participation.
